NEW YORK — A Turkish-style burger that combines grilled beef, grilled avocado, feta and Turkish spice is on the menu in New York City.
The burger is available at both Subway and Burger King outlets, and it’s called “The Turkey Burger,” and is served on a flat-bread bun.
The recipe calls for an egg and cheese and fetas and spices.
“The turkey burger is one of the best things I’ve ever had,” said owner of the restaurant, Rima Zengal, a native of Turkey.
The restaurant has been open in Manhattan since February, and Zengall said the restaurant is also expanding.
The restaurant has already served burgers with turkey, pork and chicken, but Zengalls new burger will be with turkeys beef and chicken.
“I have so many friends that are coming to the restaurant for the turkey burger, I’m really excited to serve it to them,” she said.
Zengall has been in business for four years, and she says she wants to keep expanding the restaurant’s menu to include more turkeys.
“We are in need of a bigger burger,” Zengals husband, Ibrahim, said.
“We are always looking for new things to do.
We have a lot of things we want to do, but we don’t have the space.”
