I guess the question really is: Which NFL team ate the least food last season?
That question is being asked this week in the wake of the NFL’s season-ending collapse, as players were being let go by their teams and players and owners alike are scrambling to find ways to make up for the losses.
The first question that comes to mind is: What was the most common meal for all 32 teams?
It turns out that the answer is pretty darned close to the truth.
Here’s what we found: 1.
The most common meals for the 32 teams: Alfred Morris was the NFL leading rusher with 5,937 yards last season, and he and the Raiders went on to finish tied for first place in the NFL in yards and touchdowns scored.
The two most common foods for the Raiders in 2015: The Raiders won the Super Bowl, and the team has won six Super Bowls since.
The Raiders are the only team in the league to win at least two of the four Super Bowl titles they’ve won.
The NFL’s best teams are the ones who eat the most and who spend the most on food.
The league’s worst teams eat the least and spend the least on food and drink.
The worst teams spend the fewest dollars per player.
The best teams have the most meals, and spend them at the highest-end establishments.
The second most common food in the world is a fried egg salad, and it comes in all flavors.
The fifth most common breakfast item is a biscuit, but it’s only the fifth most commonly eaten breakfast item.
The third most common dinner item is pasta.
The fourth most common dessert item is ice cream.
The eighth most common restaurant item is fish.
The sixth most common beverage is coffee.
The tenth most common snack is a slice of chocolate cake.
The ninth most common bar item is wine.
The 12th most common candy is Twix.
The 11th most commonly used candy is Hershey’s Kisses.
The 10th most popular dessert item in the United States is a Cheerios bar.
The 9th most frequent dessert item on the menu is an Oreo bar.
18 Most common food: Eggs Alfred Morris More food is coming in this season, as the NFL is bringing back its all-you-can-eat buffet.
It’s still possible to get a chicken breast, but for the first time ever, the league is making a salad of any kind.
A total of 6,000 recipes are being offered at the buffet, including one for “a roasted pork loin with grilled onions, blue cheese, cucumber, and blue peas” with an additional 500 for “bread pudding.”
The league has also added two more “special events” to the buffet: a “pork and cheese sandwich” and “egg salad with green beans, tomato, avocado, and lettuce” which will be served on a platter and “baked beans and cheese on a toasted baguette with a dollop of maple syrup.”
20 Most common meal: Crispy bacon More bacon is coming this season.
We were told that the NFL was going to “revisit” the NFL Bacon Rule, but we’re still not sure why.
I’m sure they’re not really trying to kill the bacon trend.
21 Most common drink: Wine We have to assume that a lot of the alcohol consumption is going to be on the side of the drinks.
22 Most common dessert: Chocolate cake The NBA is going for a little bit of the chocolate cake trend.
23 Most common restaurant: Pizza If you’re into pizza, you’re going to love this, too.
